Blue Jays | J.A. Happ has skull fractures
Toronto Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ (skull, knee) has some skull fractures behind his left ear that doctors think will heal on their own. He also hurt his right knee when he fell to the ground after being hit in the head by a line drive Tuesday, May 7. Happ said he feels fine, and he doesn't have a concussion.
Fantasy Tip: Happ is indeed fortunate he avoided serious damage to his head and skull. His injury is nowhere near as serious as Brandon McCarthy's was after he was struck in the head by a liner. Happ should recover in time to pitch again this year, but there is no timetable for his return yet.
