Angels | Josh Hamilton not worried
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OF Josh Hamilton, who has a triple slash line of only .208/.255/.296 this season, said he's not worried about his slump to start the season and that he will turn it on eventually at the plate. "It'll come," Hamilton said when asked why it hasn't. "And when it comes, everybody's going to be like, 'Oh, oh, OK.'" Hamilton has 38 strikeouts, which is tied for seventh in the majors, and he's on pace for a career-high 199 punchouts. He recorded his first extra-base hit Sunday, May 5, in three weeks, and his two home runs are the fewest he's had in any 31-game stretch since 2009. Hamilton is swinging at 44.2 percent of pitches outside the strike zone, which is tied for third in the majors.
Fantasy Tip: If you took a chance on Hamilton, you know the risk involved in having him on your roster when it comes to very streaky production. You probably weren't envisioning anything like this to start the season, though. Hamilton also carries a high injury risk. It's always dangerous to count on Hamilton, but he may be at his peak buy low point in the season.
