Reds | Not concerned about Mat Latos
Cincinnati Reds SP Mat Latos (hip) left his start Monday, April 29, due to tightness in his right hip, but concern was at a minimum Tuesday, April 30. "He'll get an extra day before he has to throw on the side," pitching coach Bryan Price said. "It'll be a good indicator on where he's at. He's had a little bit of hamstring and calf tightness that he's worked through. If this is an issue, we'll handle it as needed. At this point in time, no one is even thinking twice about him missing a start or being limited in any way."
Fantasy Tip: It appears this minor injury will not keep Latos from making his next scheduled start set for Sunday, May 5, against the Chicago Cubs opposite Edwin Jackson in Wrigley Field. Start him as you normally would.
