Athletics | Brett Anderson pitches in relief
Oakland Athletics SP Brett Anderson (ankle), who was scratched from his start Monday, April 29, gave up one run in 5 1/3 innings of relief in the team's 19-inning victory Monday. It was Anderson's first career relief outing, but he came off the mound limping. However, he said his ankle isn't any worse than when the day began, so he said he will make his next start.
Fantasy Tip: Seeing Anderson pitch well on a hobbled ankle was a good sight for his owners, but it still may be wise to consider benching him in his first start back after skipping his start last night.
