Marlins | Giancarlo Stanton to DL
Miami Marlins OF Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list after straining his right hamstring Monday, April 29.
Fantasy Tip: Awful timing, considering Stanton's bat was catching fire with his first three homers of the season over the weekend. He strained his hammy trying to leg out an infield single in an extra-innings game. He'll be examined today to determine the severity of the strain, but he'll miss at least 2-3 weeks. If it's a more significant strain, he could be out longer, but the early prognosis is that is unlikely. Marcell Ozuna was called up to take Stanton's spot. Ozuna was mashing at Double-A with 5 HR and 15 RBIs in 10 games. Pick him up in NL-only leagues and deeper mixed leagues.
