Braves | Jason Heyward still sore
Atlanta Braves OF Jason Heyward (appendix) is still sore and fatigued after undergoing an appendectomy last week. His voice sounds weak and he's not back on a regular sleep pattern. "It's easier to get up and down right now from the sitting-down position," Heyward said. "But after that, my body is still sensitive in the abdominal area. There's a feeling that I could pull something. Not that I will. But that is just the feeling if I try to do something too quick." He won't be allowed to do strenuous activity for at least another week, and he will gradually resume baseball activities once he feels better.
Fantasy Tip: Every player has a different recovery time when it comes to appendectomies, and it appears as though Heyward will recover on the slower side of that spectrum. At worst, plan to be without him until the end of May.
