Yankees | Ichiro Suzuki moved to two-hole
New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi moved OF Ichiro Suzuki to the two-hole for the game Wednesday, April 24, against the Tampa Bay Rays, and Ichiro responded by going 1-for-4, raising his season average to .222. Girardi believes Ichiro has plenty left in the tank despite a slow start this season. "I see the ball in BP; it jumps off his bat," Girardi said. "I really believe he's going to hit, and I believe his at-bats have been better."
Fantasy Tip: Ichiro's fantasy stock has tumbled significantly this season, as he is now only worth considering as a No. 5 outfielder, designated hitter or utility player in mixed formats of 12 or more teams.
