Rockies | Jhoulys Chacin bothered by oblique stiffness
Colorado Rockies SP Jhoulys Chacin (oblique) underwent an MRI exam on his stiff left oblique Saturday, April 20, which he sustained during his start against the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday, April 19. He felt pain while throwing his 99th pitch of the evening and left after throwing one more pitch.
Fantasy Tip: Chacin could land on the disabled list if MRI results reveal a strain or tear. SP Drew Pomeranz, currently pitching with Triple-A Colorado Springs, could replace him in the rotation if a DL stint is necessary, although another starter would not be needed until Wednesday, April 24.
