Blue Jays | R.A. Dickey optimistic

Toronto Blue Jays SP R.A. Dickey (neck, back) is optimistic that he will make his next start against the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday, April 23, and the team was being precautious by removing him from his start Thursday, April 18. Dickey gave up two hits (both singles) while walking one and striking out a season-high seven to lower his ERA from 5.82 to 4.30 Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.

Fantasy Tip: For now, expect Dickey to make his next start against Baltimore unless we hear something new that indicates his injury is more serious. The good news is that Dickey, being a knuckleball pitcher, doesn't exert much force or strain while throwing his signature pitch, so he should be better off pitching through a minor injury.
