Giants | Matt Cain loses again
San Francisco Giants SP Matt Cain allowed seven earned runs and seven hits while striking out four and walking none in six innings to lose his second game of the year Thursday, April 18, against the Milwaukee Brewers. "It didn't really matter what pitch it was in those three innings," Cain said. "Everything was coming back to the middle. Right in the middle. I was just not executing the pitches at all." However, he settled down and retired 11 of his final 12 batters faced, but he's given up five home runs in the last two games after not allowing any in his first two starts. Cain has surrendered 18 earned runs and 21 hits in his last three starts.
Fantasy Tip: Cain has had a rough go of it to start the season, and as he stated, he hasn't been executing his pitches very well. He's too good of a hurler for this to last, though. Expect better results eventually.
