Nationals | Davey Johnson not concerned with Ryan Zimmerman
Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson said he's not concerned with 3B Ryan Zimmerman's recent throwing errors at third base. "I don't think it's a mental problem. I think he's fine, and he's only going to get better," Johnson said. "This spring, I thought with the severity of that injury and the (shoulder) surgery in the offseason, and now throwing from a different angle, his arm is a lot stronger. It's just going to take a little while for him to get comfortable in his slot over there." Zimmerman said his errors are mostly mental, and it doesn't have anything to do with his surgically-repaired should. Johnson thinks it may take until June for Zimmerman to get comfortable with his new arm slot.
Fantasy Tip: It's a little unnerving to see him making throwing errors so early in the season after his shoulder plagued him for most of the second half of last season. However, it appears he's healthy, and the way he's swinging the stick so far supports that.
