Red Sox | David Ortiz hitless in rehab game

Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz (Achilles') went hitless in four at-bats in a minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Pawtucket Wednesday, April 17, but he is unfazed. "Every day I improve more and more and more," Ortiz said. "I want to max when I'm running just to see if I feel anything. I'm not 100 percent yet, but I'm close. I'm very close."

Fantasy Tip: The team is still planning on Ortiz joining the team Friday, barring any setbacks, but fantasy owners will want to let him knock off the rust for a few games and prove his health before plugging the DH into the active lineup. He is just 3-for-15 (.200) with three RBI, two runs scored and no extra-base hits in five rehab games, so a slow start is expected.
