Dodgers | Ted Lilly deemed ready to return

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Ted Lilly (shoulder) has been deemed ready to return, according to assistant pitching coach Ken Howell. The left-hander made 81 pitches in five innings in his latest rehab start, with Class A advanced Rancho Cucamonga. Howell said Lilly showed considerable improvement from his first two rehab starts. "He looked tonight like a major league pitcher. He managed the game, his pitches were crisper, he competed better. That's what I was looking for. He pitched better than the numbers indicate."

Fantasy Tip: The Dodgers will decide within the next couple of days what to do with Chris Capuano (strained left calf), and it seems likely that they'll play it safe with Capuano since they can turn to Lilly. Lilly deserves fantasy consideration in deep leagues.
