Cubs | Shawn Camp blows save

Chicago Cubs RP Shawn Camp blew his first save opportunity against the San Francisco Giants Sunday, April 14, after he allowed a solo home run to OF Hunter Pence in the ninth inning. A balk on Camp in the 10th inning gave the Giants the lead and eventual win. Camp allowed five hits and four earned runs while striking out two in 1 2/3 innings.

Fantasy Tip: This isn't a promising start to the team's closer-by-committee look with Hisanori Takahashi (forearm) on the DL. Camp and James Russell are expected to share closing duties in the meantime, but if Carlos Marmol strings together some impressive performances in less stressful spots, you have to wonder if he'll re-enter the mix. For now, this looks to be a situation to try to avoid in fantasy baseball. Camp and Russell are must-owns in NL leagues, but aren't very attractive in mixed leagues unless you're really desperate for some saves.
