Red Sox | Clay Buchholz loses no-hitter late
Boston Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz had a no-hitter broken up in the eighth inning Sunday, April 14, against the Tampa Bay Rays. He struck out a career-high 11 batters in the victory. He was bidding to become the first Red Sox pitcher since the dead-ball era to throw multiple no-hitters, and the first Red Sox hurler since SP Jon Lester on May 19, 2008, to hold the opposition without a hit.
