Patriots | Rob Gronkowski delaying surgery
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm) will delay surgery on his forearm several more weeks to ensure the infection in his arm has cleared out. He will continue a course of antibiotics, but the plan is still to eventually have surgery to check on the infection and install a new plate in his forearm.
Fantasy Tip: This doesn't put his status for the season opener in question. However, it would if the infection weren't cleared out when they inserted a new plate in his forearm. The healing time for that is 10 weeks, so he has time to heal before the season.
