Hot off the Wire news, rumors and tips

Phillies | Humberto Quintero starting

Philadelphia Phillies C Humberto Quintero is catching SP Roy Halladay Monday, April 8, instead of C Erik Kratz. Halladay was particularly upset with a pitch location that Kratz called in his first start against the Atlanta Braves. The pitch wound up being hit for a home run, and Halladay later called the pitch "half-hearted." "We went in with a low target, which isn't what we wanted to do," Halladay said. "You're not going to get him out there. What I wanted to do wasn't executed."

Fantasy Tip: Quintero has now started two of the last three games over Kratz. Don't read too much into this right now, but Kratz's game-calling skills may be starting to hurt his playing time. Remember, Carlos Ruiz will be back after serving his 25-game suspension, too.
