Brewers | John Axford smashed in second appearance

Milwaukee Brewers RP John Axford was pounded for three earned runs and five hits while recording just two outs in his second appearance of the season Wednesday, April 3, against the Colorado Rockies. He surrendered a pair of home runs. "(His velocity) was way down," manager Ron Roenicke said. "We'll talk to him and see how he's doing but I noticed it was way down. He says he feels fine."

Fantasy Tip: Axford has allowed four earned runs and six hits, including three home runs, in just 1 2/3 innings in his first two appearances. It's uncertain if manager Ron Roenicke plans to make a change, but it is worth watching. Jim Henderson figures to be next in line if Roenicke switches up ninth-inning duties.
