Chiefs | Branden Albert won't return to team without new deal

Kansas City Chiefs OT Branden Albert said Tuesday, April 2, that he will not return for the offseason program this week. He wants the team to commit to him beyond the one-year, $9.83 million contract he recently signed as their franchise player. "I want to play for the Chiefs, but I want that commitment long-term," Albert said. "There has been speculation of me being not there, being traded. So until I know my situation with certainty, I am going to stay away, work out and when the time is right, show up."
