Twins | Justin Morneau feels he has a lot left in tank
Minnesota Twins 1B Justin Morneau said Wednesday, April 3, that he doesn't set personal statistical goals before the season, but feels he is still young enough to post big numbers if he can remain healthy. "Anything's possible," Morneau said. "I'm still young enough. I think I proved to myself last year that when I'm healthy I feel like I can contribute, and whatever that means I'm not sure, but hopefully it's somewhere around when I was playing 150, 160 games a year and driving in runs and helping us score runs and helping us win ball games."
Fantasy Tip: For the record, Morneau won't be 32 until mid-May, and he did rebound nicely in 2012 with 19 homers and a .773 OPS while playing in 134 games. It was his most production since 2009. He remains a solid fantasy option with plenty of power potential if he can avoid the injury bug.
