Yankees | Derek Jeter not close
New York Yankees SS Derek Jeter (ankle) isn't even close to playing in a minor league or simulated game because he has yet to resume hitting, fielding or running. The team is refusing to put a timetable on his possible return to the lineup. Jeter only played in five innings in spring training, so he clearly has a ways to go.
Fantasy Tip: At this point, there is a very good chance that Jeter won't be ready to return until sometime in May, especially since the club is holding off on delivering a timetable. He has plenty of rehab work to do and must play in full minor league games before being cleared. You'll have to continue stashing him in a DL spot if you used a draft pick on him, unless there are decent shortstop or middle infield options on your waiver wire.
