Royals | Lorenzo Cain worked on running and leg strength
Kansas City Royals OF Lorenzo Cain worked with sprint coaches in the offseason and also did yoga to focus on weaknesses in his legs. "He was upright with a long stride," trainer Nick Kenney said. "They wanted him to turn and get more of a forward lean. That allows you to become a power runner." The priority for Cain was to shorten his stride. He often felt his legs were heavy and fatigued late last season, so he made the change to become stronger and avoid lower body injuries.
Fantasy Tip: Cain is a 20-20 threat if he can stay healthy over a full season. His free-swinging ways could hurt his batting average, but he's not a bad target as you approach the later rounds in mixed league drafts.
