Mets | Opening Day is goal for David Wright
New York Mets 3B David Wright (intercostal) said Wednesday, March 20, that his goal is to play Opening Day. He is still waiting to be cleared for physical activity. "After my conversation with David, I'm certainly counting on having David for the season," manager Terry Collins said. Wright stated he won't need much game action to be ready for the opener.
Fantasy Tip: If Wright is unavailable for Opening Day, 3B Zach Lutz or 2B Justin Turner (ankle) might serve as the team's starter in his stead. Wright remains a solid fantasy draft pick in the early rounds, as even if he isn't ready April 1, he won't miss much time.
