Blue Jays | Brett Lawrie might play soon

Updating a previous report, the Toronto Blue Jays are optimistic that 3B Brett Lawrie (rib cage) will be able to appear in a spring game in a few days, or at least the beginning of next week. "We don't know exactly, but he'll take some ground balls tomorrow," manager John Gibbons said. "He felt good when he played catch today, no pain."

Fantasy Tip: It appears Lawrie is on track for the regular season opener, and he could have a giant season if he is healthy. The team is unlikely to rush him back and risk a longer term injury. Fantasy owners will still want to make Lawrie a Top 5 pick at his position in all formats.
