Braves | Mike Minor beat up again

Atlanta Braves SP Mike Minor allowed 10 hits and five runs while walking three in four innings Wednesday, March 20, after he allowed six hits, four runs and four walks in five innings in his last spring start. He has a 5.50 ERA after giving up 23 hits, 11 runs and 12 walks with 15 strikeouts in 18 innings in Grapefruit League action. He said he threw mostly fastballs and didn't go inside to many right-handers, something he'll do more of during the season. Minor is working on a two-seam sinking fastball, and manager Fredi Gonzalez isn't concerned.

Fantasy Tip: Minor needs to limit his fly-ball allowance, and that'll go a long way in sending his ERA in the right direction. The introduction of a two-seam fastball is encouraging in this arena. Don't let his spring results deter you from considering him.
