Giants | Pablo Sandoval has bone spur
San Francisco Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval (elbow) is dealing with a small bone spur in the back of his right elbow, but the team's trainer doesn't think it'll be a big issue. Sandoval has dealt with the same bone spur in the past, and he's not expected to need surgery. The official term for what Sandoval is dealing with is called ulnar neuritis.
Fantasy Tip: The more details that surface regarding Sandoval's injury, the more and more you begin to wonder if this is something that will affect his performance. The club doesn't think surgery will be in the cards, but if his performance suffers early on, things could change quickly. Make sure you have plenty of contingency plans at third base if you take the leap with the Panda.
