Dodgers | Carl Crawford shows off arm
Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (elbow) had his first two hits and two RBI of the spring Monday, March 18, but that isn't what excited manager Don Mattingly. "Actually - that part was good to see, getting a couple of hits under his belt - but even better was his throwing," Mattingly said. "(Vice president of medical services Stan Conte) was working on cut(offs), and he had a lot on the ball. That's really positive."
Fantasy Tip: General manager Ned Colletti said Crawford is expected to be ready to start the season on the active roster, and Crawford has been leading off as the designated hitter, which is an indication he'll be leading off in manager Don Mattingly's regular season lineup. Crawford could be a bargain for fantasy owners, as others shy away because of his uncertain health. However, be sure to have plenty of depth in the outfield on your roster just to be on the safe side.
