Red Sox | Jon Lester throws six perfect innings
Boston Red Sox SP Jon Lester, who is vying for the team's Opening Day assignment, worked six perfect innings in a Grapefruit League spring start Sunday, March 17. He left the start after 79 pitches and six strikeouts. "I had a pretty good idea," Lester said of the perfect game. "I pitched the whole time in the wind-up."
Fantasy Tip: Lester has allowed just two runs in 20 innings during the spring, which equates to a 0.90 ERA. He appears to be ready for the regular season, and could re-emerge as a fantasy stud if he continues to pitch this well. He has looked healthy, and that is the key.
