Angels | Jered Weaver dealing with dead arm

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Jered Weaver (arm) said Sunday, March 17, that he typically endures a "dead arm" late in spring training. He was hammered for eight runs in two innings over the weekend in a Cactus League game against the Oakland Athletics, and acknowledged he is going through another one of those periods. "You never know if you are going to go through it," Weaver said. "Everything feels healthy. But you hear stories about guys having no control or no feel, and that's definitely what it was today."
