Yankees | Brennan Boesch signs

The New York Yankees signed free-agent OF Brennan Boesch (Tigers) to an undisclosed deal Friday, March 15.

Fantasy Tip: Boesch figures to serve as the left fielder, and Matt Diaz could be released as a result. Juan Rivera, who was initially signed to compete for an outfield position, might be used as a temporary solution to start the season at first base with Mark Teixeira (wrist) banged up. Injuries derailed Boesch's season with Detroit last year. He's worth a cheap investment in AL leagues for his power profile, which becomes much more intriguing at Yankee Stadium.
