Cardinals | Allen Craig contract update

Updating a previous report, St. Louis Cardinals 1B Allen Craig signed a five-year, $31 million contract extension Friday, March 8, that could be worth as much as $43 million over six years. He'll earn $1.75 million this year, $2.75 million in 2014, $5.5 million in 2015, $9 million in 2016 and $11 million in 2017, and the team has a $13 million option for the 2018 season with a $1 million buyout.
