Mariners | Felix Hernandez feels strong
Seattle Mariners SP Felix Hernandez felt strong in his spring debut Thursday, March 7, in which he threw 33 pitches and struck out two, gave up two hits and walked none. "It's nice to see him get back out there and compete again," said pitching coach Carl Willis. "He felt great. I thought his fastball was good, his changeup was right there as it always is and he threw some good sliders as well. Most importantly, he felt good, so we'll see him again in five days." Hernandez's fastball was in the 91-92 mph range. He's expected to make four more spring training starts.
