Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon is 7-for-16 (.438) with three doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs in his first seven spring games, but he won't make the opening day roster this year. Team officials have been thoroughly impressed with his swing in camp. Rendon has the ability to put backspin on the ball when he hits it, allowing it to travel further. He said he learned to hit balls with backspin when he was young. "You try and hit a little bit center, a little bit on top and hitting down. It's hard to explain," he said.
