Mets | Johan Santana may not be ready
New York Mets SP Johan Santana (shoulder) may not be ready for opening day, and the team is leaning toward using SP Jonathon Niese as their opening day starter, according to manager Terry Collins.
Fantasy Tip: Santana is a high-risk starting pitching commodity thanks to his age and plethora of recent injuries. He won't give you, or the Mets, as many innings as he did early in his career, and his diminished fastball velocity makes him much more hittable at this point.
