Mets | More on Pedro Feliciano
New York Mets RP Pedro Feliciano (heart) has been diagnosed with a rare condition known as left ventricular noncompaction that shouldn't affect his ability to pitch, according to his agent. Feliciano underwent an electrocardiograph, echocardiogram and a cardiovascular MRI exam. "I will attend to my ailment that was discovered during a routine checkup and not because of pain, but I can honestly say it will not keep me up at night. I will be on top of my condition, but it will not stop me from playing baseball," Feliciano said. He is not dealing with a hole in his heart, as was previously feared. Feliciano will have plenty of time to get ready for the start of the season.
