Royals | Max Ramirez making case for roster spot
Kansas City Royals C Max Ramirez singled home the game-winning run in the Cactus League spring game Wednesday, Feb. 27, against the Milwaukee Brewers, giving him six RBIs in just nine spring at-bats. He has seen time at first base. "Max has done a really nice job at first base every time we put him over there," manager Ned Yost said.
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez has played just 44 games at first base in regular season games in the majors and minors, as he has spent most of his career as a catcher. However, the versatility could help his cause for a roster spot. Still, even if he is able to break camp with the team, his fantasy value would be limited to deeper AL-only formats.
