Free-agent DE Dwight Freeney (Colts) would be a fit for the Detroit Lions, if they are unable to re-sign impending free-agent DE Cliff Avril. However, he is 33 and wants to play for a contender, and whoever signs him will be seeking his replacement again in two years.
