Marlins | No extension for Giancarlo Stanton

The Miami Marlins and OF Giancarlo Stanton will not talk contract extension in 2013, according to owner Jeffrey Loria. Loria addressed local media in a rare interview following his fire sale of a team whose payroll dropped from $95 million to less than $45 million. "We're absolutely hoping that moment will come," Loria said. "We will cross that bridge at the appropriate moment, absolutely." Stanton has been the subject of widespread trade talk.
