Athletics | MLB may accept San Jose move with conditions

The Oakland Athletics have received tentative guidelines from Major League Baseball for a possible move to San Jose, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times, which cited three sources. Commissioner Bud Selig, according to the newspaper, could have MLB owners vote on a move to San Jose - 75 percent approval is required - if the A's follow up on the guidelines. However, a move wouldn't be guaranteed regardless of the team's actions.
