Boston Red Sox RP Alfredo Aceves threw batting practice to live hitters Wednesday, Feb. 20, with intensity, looking sharp and engaged from first pitch. It was a departure from his outing Sunday, Feb. 17, which caused a flap with management because he did not give full effort. Aceves explained what happened. "It was just a miscommunication. That's all it was," Aceves said. "I apologized for that and now we're on track."
