Diamondbacks | Jason Kubel feeling better

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Jason Kubel arrived to camp a tad bit lighter this season at 208 pounds, which is down from 215 pounds at the end of last year, and he said he feels much better. "I was able to start working out when I wanted to," Kubel said. "In the offseason before last, I had some foot problems and wasn't able to start going until a lot later. This year I was able to go on my own terms, and I feel great." Kubel said he tried hard in the offseason to work on fixing something that led him to a drastic second-half slump where he hit just .176 in his final 216 plate appearances.
