Mets | Jordany Valdespin to see role increased

With New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy (ribs) heading back to New York to have rib soreness examined and likely to miss at least a week, it means 2B Jordany Valdespin will get an extended look in spring training and when the Grapefruit League schedule gets underway Saturday, according to manager Terry Collins. Valdespin is fighting for a roster spot.
