Blue Jays | Ricky Romero dialing it back

Toronto Blue Jays SP Ricky Romero is working on not throwing too hard too soon. In the past, he often was inclined to "fire away right away and kind of get in that game mode" in the early parts of spring training. This year, he's feeling good coming off elbow surgery and "everything is coming out free and easy." The hitters have told Romero that they are seeing good movement and sink on his pitches after a live session. SP Mark Buehrle has become a mentor for Romero, and the two have hit it off so far in camp.
