Diamondbacks | Tyler Skaggs has added meat to bones
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Tyler Skaggs was 6-foot-4, 180 pounds when he was drafted in 2009. He is now up to about 213 pounds, putting on the kind of weight to help him shoulder a heavy, starting pitcher's workload. "It's good to have a big pitcher's body," Skaggs said. "I think it's going to help me. I've just got to maintain it this year."
Fantasy Tip: Skaggs heads into camp battling Patrick Corbin and Randall Delgado for the fifth starter's spot. Whoever wins the job will be a decent NL-only fantasy option. Even if Skaggs loses the battle, he is still a nice long-term keeper option.
