Pirates | Francisco Liriano won't be ready until May

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano (arm) likely won't make his season debut until early May since he won't throw a pitch for at least another month. He started jogging and throwing soft toss on flat ground two weeks ago and will wear a removable brace on his arm for the next two weeks. In the meantime, SPs Jeff Karstens and Jonathan Sanchez will compete for a rotation spot.
