Rangers | Mike Olt believes he can play in outfield
Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt said he believes he can play right field and just needs some practice to get used to the position. "I think I could be a great outfielder as long as I practice it," Olt said. "Last year, I was thrown in a situation where I'd play randomly a couple of times in Frisco and randomly in the big league games. I just need to get out there and practice." Olt has been working on making the right reads on fly balls, taking the smart route and dealing with the sun. The team told him to be prepared to work in the outfield because they want to make him more versatile which could give him more playing time this season. Olt said he is prepared for whatever the team decides, including going to Triple-A Round Rock to get more at-bats.
