Nationals | Jordan Zimmermann working toward new contract

Washington Nationals SP Jordan Zimmermann and the team are working toward a deal to avoid salary arbitration, and he said the two sides are working on a one-year deal instead of a long-term commitment. Zimmermann filed at $5.8 million and the Nats countered at $4.6 million.
