Yankees | In talks with Robinson Cano on extension?

New York Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner said Friday, Feb. 8, that the team has discussed the possibility of a long-term contract extension for 2B Robinson Cano, who will be eligible for free agency after this year. A source with knowledge of the situation said Steinbrenner has spoken with Scott Boras, the agent for Cano. Cano is expected to be looking for a deal that could reach $200 million if he enters free agency.
