Super agent Scott Boras denied planting a rumor recently that the Miami Marlins were interested in his client, free-agent RP Jose Valverde (Tigers). "We did not originate that story," Boras said Wednesday, Feb. 6. "What benefit would it be for me or my client to do that?"
