Giants | Sergio Romo avoids arbitration

The San Francisco Giants avoided arbitration with RP Sergio Romo Wednesday, Feb. 6, by agreeing to an undisclosed two-year deal. The deal buys out his final two years of arbitration eligibility. Romo is expected to open the season as the team's closer.
